New Beginnings
Time during pregnancy is a funny thing. One day you feel like you'll never be out of the first trimester, and then you blink and your due date is next week!
For pregnancy photos, I usually recommend booking your session in the third trimester, between weeks 26 and 34 (depending on if it's your first pregnancy or not.)
Newborn sessions are a little different since babies come whenever they want, so I suggest that my clients book 1 to 6 months before their due date.
NATURAL, OUTDOOR FAMILY PHOTOS IN MARKHAM
Markham's parks are one of the best locations to capture portraits of families. They're the perfect backdrop for timeless portraits while letting your kids get their wiggles out too.
Milne Dam Conservation Park is a beautiful natural setting that's right in town and a quick drive from the Berczy and Wismer neighborhoods. If you're looking for a little more natural open space in your photos, than Rouge National Urban Park is another of my favorite spots.

WINTER LOCATIONS IN MARKHAM FOR FAMILY PORTRAITS
Just because Markham winters are FREEZING doesn't mean you have to wait until spring for your family portraits. We can have your children warm and cozy at one of the many local photo studios in town. That way we can all relax and take our time with the photos instead of worrying about frostbite.
A studio is a great option if you'd like a more elegant, minimal background for your family pictures, but sometimes young children feel more comfortable at their own home. In that case, we can discuss the lighting and decor of your home and see if that would be the right fit for the family photos you're hoping for.
