Come on, Mama. It’s time for you to get in the picture.

With beautiful lake views, quiet parks, and a quaint downtown, Oakville is the perfect spot for family portraits. Your family photoshoot can take place on location, or in the colder months we’ll use a cozy studio or your home to create family portraits you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

CREATING ART FROM REAL PEOPLE SINCE 2010

My Family in 2012

if you blink,
you might miss it

When I was a I sleep deprived mom of 2 little boys with one on the way, the last thing I felt like doing was being in photos.

But looking back on those hazy, busy years, I’m so thankful for the family photos I have because even when I can’t remember, they are my memories.

And now seeing my boys look at our family photographs and marvel at how small they were, and how much we have always loved them, makes me wish I had taken even more.

MATERNITY & NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

NEW BEGINNINGS

Time during pregnancy is a funny thing. One day you feel like you’ll never be out of the first trimester, and then you blink and your due date is next week!

For pregnancy photos, I usually recommend booking your session in the third trimester, between weeks 26 and 34 (depending on if it’s your first pregnancy or not.)

Newborn sessions are a little different since babies come whenever they want, so I suggest that my clients book 1 to 6 months before their due date.

NATURAL, OUTDOOR FAMILY PHOTOS IN OAKVILLE

Oakville’s parks are some of the best locations to capture portraits of families there are so many beautiful ones to choose from. Whether you prefer lakefront views or woodland trails, you can find the perfect backdrop for timeless portraits while letting your kids get their wiggles out too.

For waterside locations, Lakeside Park and Bronte Bluffs Park are two of my favorites. If you’re looking for a spot closer to the uptown core, then the woodsy trails of Lion’s Valley Park are another great option.

WINTER LOCATIONS IN OAKVILLE FOR FAMILY PORTRAITS

Even though winters in Oakville are FREEZING, that doesn’t mean you have to wait til spring for your family portraits. We can have your family photos at a beautiful local photo studio so you and your kids can feel comfortable and relax.

A studio is a great option if you’d like a more elegant, minimal setting for your family photoshoot, but sometimes young children feel more comfortable at their own home. In that case, we can discuss the lighting and decor of your home and see if that would be the right fit for the family photos you’re hoping for.

Kind Words

“It was so easy to work with Emily and she really made me feel relaxed and natural. I LOVE our photos and will truly cherish them forever!” – Muriel W.

Hi! I’m Emily.

Your Oakville FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m a professional family photographer serving Oakville and the communities in Southern Ontario. As a mom of three boys (Yes, all boys. You read that right.), I really have a heart for making sure mamas are actually part of their family history by getting in the picture.

We’re always so busy making sure everyone else is taken care of and ready for family pictures, that we barely have any energy left for a shower! That’s why I’ve crafted my business to help YOU feel cared for and beautiful.

I want to be the family photographer that I wish I had when I was pregnant and the only photos I have were taken on a roll of film I shot with a tripod and my camera’s timer.

So instead of having adding to the stress, let me make this a seriously FUN family photoshoot where we create beautiful family portraits but also the sweet, candid moments of everyday life.
