Summer Farm Photoshoot for a Family of Four

There’s nothing quite as pretty as an Ontario in the summer. The wildflowers are everywhere and this historical farm was just glowing in the morning light. The other plus of an outside location for Toronto family photos, is that there’s plenty of safe space for busy little ones to explore. I’m also learned how important it is for younger kids and toddlers to not feel forced to hold still, so a farm gives plenty of space for running to see the ducks, and then running back for a few snuggly shots with the whole family. There’s a lot of movement whenever toddlers are involved. ?

One tip I try to give all my parents when we’re doing a look-at-the-camera photo is NO MATTER WHAT your kids are doing, look at me and smile. I’ll make all the crazy noises, dance around, whatever I need to get their attention and it helps SO much if I don’t have to remind mom and dad to look at the camera and miss the one moment when baby was looking too.
